There is no doubt that retail giants like Amazon.com are great places for finding gifts to knock out your shopping list this holiday season. However, what about those on your list who seem to have everything?
There are lots of local options where you can find special and unique gifts while supporting local businesses and artisans.
Five Points in Jacksonville
If you’re buying for anyone you would define as “eclectic” you must head to Five Points to find the ideal Christmas gift. Its reputation as a bohemian neighborhood doesn’t do this community justice, as it is also charming and vibrant with lots of restaurants and locally owned shops. Visit 5 Points Vintage, Midnight Sun Imports, Jane Doe Boutique and Edge City to find great gifts while supporting the local economy. Learn more at 5pointsjax.com.
Riverside Arts Market in Jacksonville
Located under the Fuller Warren bridge near downtown Jacksonville, the weekend market offers handmade gift options from incredibly talented local artisans. We’re talking one-of-a-kind clothes and accessories, jewelry, candles, art, soaps and skincare, and the list goes on. You never know what you’ll find at RAM, but it’s nearly guaranteed you’ll find the perfect gift. The market is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. See what vendors will be there this weekend at riversideavondale.org/ram-home.
Amphitheatre Farmers Market in St. Augustine
Just like Riverside, this weekend market offers plenty of gift options from local farmers and artists. They aim to support hardworking local people who sell unique things. The market is open every Saturday of the year (rain or shine) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Also, there will be a special Holiday Market on Tuesday, December 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. featuring more than 50 vendors and live music from the Center of Spiritual Living Choir of Light. Beaches Town Center in Neptune Beach
This very walkable community is not only a fun place to visit, but the perfect place to find unique gifts and support local businesses. Stop by The Book Mark, Drift Boutique, Jax Surf & Paddle, Red Daisy and more to find a gift for those on your list who seem to have everything! Visit beachestowncenter.com and check out a map of shops.
