On Sunday, December 15, I hosted my annual holiday donation drive at the King & Bear amenity center in World Golf Village.

Donations went directly to the Emergency Services & Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County. The Coalition provides transitional housing and services to families and children who have experienced significant challenges.

More than 200 bags of groceries were collected along with more than 200 toys like small trucks, sports equipment, dolls, stuffed animals and educational toys.

I was joined by volunteer helpers Yolanda and Olive Castellanos (behind me), who were visiting me from South Florida.

There are families with children in our community that, despite their best efforts, are struggling this holiday. Thank you to everyone who donated to this year’s drive. Your donations will help these families have a reason to celebrate!
